Anywhooo... I painted the side chrome strips today and makes such a big difference, just poped them out got them taped and sprayed gloss black. Spacers arrive next week, ive ordered one set of 20mm to test fit, might end up with 20s on the front 25s on the rear. Also ordered some m6 fromt grills which should make a big difference. Ive attached a pic with the strips out, will upload a new picture today. ( also de-badged the rear. )

Congrats! I'm still on the fence about blacking out my fender grills. Looks good on white for sure,
Not sure about Imola. Are you going to do the door handles too?

Door handles are going white. Dont want it too gangster/drug dealer looking. Gloss grey wheels once spaced out. Then a V spoiler again in white for the rear

Yeah body color is a good idea. As a test I wrapped the chrome door handle trim in gloss black vinyl..it looked more like a missing piece in the handle..Wasn't feeling it. How hard are those side trims to pop off? I may try to wrap them this weekend.

I found a useful video on bmw trims online which helped. I just used sand paper on the chrome then primer then applied 5coats of gloss black.

In terms if getting them out get a knife or similar in under the bottom section and prize out as you go along, they will pop out but take some movement. The ends towards the front of the car have 2 catches on them which means u will need to pull them 1/4 on an inch in the other direction.

I would give myself a 2/10 for car DIY so im sure you can do it just fine
