Dam - that's a shame, I was hoping there someone had noticed the difference in the coding to get it working. I guess I'll just have to add that to the wishlist for down the line...

If I've got adaptive LED headlights, is it possible to retrofit the LCI versions? I'm assuming like most LCI's the wiring connectors will be different (and the coding). I imagine it will be cost prohibitive but just a thought..

I have a 2015 640iX GC with production date July 2014. I already have the option HBA and was wondering can I code for the anti glare.....I guess from what I read so far seems it will be a partial function....
So do I FDL code the parameters what is mention early in the thread, I think post1

2014 640i GC with LEDs, HBA, no KAFAS2. My experience with anti-dazzle was not successful, VO coded out 8S4, changed FDL 3080 on FRM module as the cheat sheet described, so I VO coded back 8S4 which reversed FRM coding back to factory default.

I am not sure if my issue was that I do not have KAFAS2 (no lane departure/surround cameras), coding only with HBA made the lights dance but high beams were not doing much. When I flashed the high beams the lights would move out from center and a bit up. Did have a little effect of a high beam, but not even close to how it was without the coding. Now HBA is fully functional and I can flash my high beams again.

Hope this helps anyone trying to get this to work with the same options I have in my GC

US Pre-LCI 6-series lack the optic micro-shutters for either VLD or NGHB.
  • VLD (8S4 Decoding) is low beam light pattern based on speed of vehicle and direction of wheel. It does NOT use camera behind rearview mirror.
  • NGHB (5AP Decoding) is high beam tunneling. Unless coded otherwise, you must be driving greater than 41 mph to initiate & keep speed greater than 38 mph to maintain. This DOES use KAFAS or FLA camera behind mirror.

What about LCI?
Does NGHB work on LCI 6 series?
