Arrow ► Outlets Not Working

it seems my outlet under the passenger glove box and center console (smaller smoking bin) is not working.

i plugged in my v1 adapter in both sockets and nothing; then i tried a usb outlet charger in both and same result.

the only outlet that is working is in the main center armrest (the one with the trunk lock switch).

could it possibly be a blown fuse? thoughts on how this should be troubleshooted?

Usually when that happens I check my fuse in the glove box 89.9% of the time it is the fuse..

fuse is the most likely culprit. Good luck getting your hand in there.

You need octopus arms in order to access the fuses inside the glove box. That or take the entire dash down. Worst placement ever.

I have a 2013 640i M Sport F12 - and for me fuse 54 20A (Yellow) fixed all 3 of my outlets:
- Center Console
- In the armrest next to the Aux in
- Under the glove box

Fuse 54 is located behind the glove box and I used the plastic fuse holder clip - which I found in the fuse box in the trunk. I attached a picture of the fuse box layout and a photo of the actual fuse (Yellow Arrow) behind the glove box - for you to see which one is 54.

It was easy for me to remove the fuse and a little tricky to replace it. It's not as hard as it initially looks - and I don't have the smallest arms or hands.

Good luck.
