Black grill can I install it myself?

I wanted to buy the black kidney grill. Would I be able to install it myself? Is it hard and/or risky too do?

If you're not comfortable with pulling your bumper then it may be a bit more difficult.

Otherwise it's relatively easy. Pull the bumper back, push the tabs to un-clip then push in the new tabs and you're good

PM if you need assistance, or if you're still looking for the grills!

Well I'm comfortable as long as I don't break it. The problem is I can't figure out how to get to that part. Don't know what screws to take out.

Where are you guys buying your black front grills from? I can't seem to find ones that has the "M6" emblem in it. Only pure black without the emblem.

I bought the IND ones - http://ind-distribution.com/ind/cate...ont-grille-set

But haven't installed them yet. Tried the "just yank really hard" approach I read about, but couldn't get it to work Also didn't feel up to doing the front reflector replacement, so I will probably get them both done by someone else...

Thanks man, ordering mine right now even though my car doesn't get here for a few months. I want to drop it off at the dealers once the car gets there to get prepped for delivery so I won't have to have to worry about all this popping/yanking

hey - sorry for the resurrection but no point starting new threads.

I have black grilles and tried undoing the top screws on bumper under the bonnet, and although I can use my hands\flat head screwdriver to undo the top clips, I can’t do the side or bottom ones, and did not feel comfortable just yanking it off.

Any more tricks please or should I just be persistent and yank it off with just the top 3 tabs free’d up ?

heres the best link i found to follow:

Well after all that fretting I did myself and it was not as bad pulling off the grilles as I thought.

you can do the top 3 tabs and the 2 side tabs if you push you hand through the grille itself - you then have no choice but to put the grille out hard with both hands, bracing the bumper with your knee. It felt like you were gonna break something but it was fine - then you have a hole you can remove the other one a bit easier with.

new ones pop right in.
