Nice - but what is mine a pic of? 5 series de-badged? This guy pulled in front of me (was in my 6) took the parking spot and did not seem to even know a m when one was right in front of him.

That's a 7 series. F01 or F02. Which makes it even more sad considering the original point of this thread

Nope - this happens in the Lambo scene as well. I was in my LP570-4 Performante back in 2010/11 and a guy parks next to me with his 2004 Gallardo which he felt he had turned into a Performante with some nice stickers in all the wrong places, not to mention missing all the other bit's that make the Performante a Performante. I got out of my car and he says with a straight face... nice Performante.

With all honesty, I understand where you guys are coming from. They're different trims for a reason.

They should add more to the M option trim for the 650i to make everyone happy. It should come with the fenders, rear bumper and front bumper. Leave the sunroof as is.

Speaking of non M 6's ... I drove behind a 650i vert this morning on my commute (not in my M) and I have to say... fine looking auto even with the 650i emblem on the back. I can't say so much about the driver.. as I believe he had a pearl white mo hawk thing

No they shouldn't ! An M car doesn't come with just more power ! It has the muscles also to back that power. If you want to look like an M car buy one! There is nothing wrong with an M sport if you have one be proud of it. If you have a nice looking wife you don't go around calling her Giselle do you!

Obviously I am not thinking about this in a financial sense, I would feel differently if I were working for BMW.

But in my opinion they should get rid of the m-sport, and just make the 650/640 more luxury/classy oriented and make the M the aggressive sporty one.

Jeez, who cares.....let people do what they want with their cars. Badging it a M6 doesn't make it one. Putting every damn M6 panel doesn't, either. People have been doing this for 20 years now.

I find it stupid that the OP actually took time out of his day to take a pic of a car posing that still is 3x as much as his car. It's weird. Don't you guys have better stuff to do?

And no....they should not add the same trim from the M6 on the M sport models. You pay to play........simple as that. I bought this car because, among other thing, it's rare.....I don't know that I've seen another M6 GC in Chicago and you will find everything there. Your 650 is nice....but....it's not an M6. End of story.
