Question 3 Car seats fit in M5 or M6GC??

Hello all,

I've read and searched all over for help on this and so far only found 1 short vid of an M5 with 3 car seats (VERY snug) and some posts comparing the 2 cars.

My situation is this, I have a 4yo and now also Twin boys, we currently have a 335 Convertible and an M3 Coupe.

The 335 will be traded in for a Volvo XC90 that we plan to use as the "family car", and I am debating between the M5 or M6GC to trade in my M3 so we can have a back up car that "could" fit all 5 of us if needed.

Question, does anyone know if you can fit 3 car seats in an M5 or M6GC? (2 rearfacing + 1 Forward facing)???

Pictures or other references would be greately appreciated.

Thx

You probably could in an m5 but wouldn't be ideal. You couldn't in the GC. Why not get an x5m?

In my situation I ended up just getting a third car, an suv for my wife, a GC for me, and another suv as a third car when I need to take the kids.

Sorry man, a 6 series is really not the right choice with all those kids. Get a X5 or Benz SUV.

Thank you all for the replies, thay really helped, and as sad as it might be I will have to hold back on htat M6 GC...

I will do a test fit with the seats in an M5 just to make sure (and convince my self with proof), that they do not fit...

Again, thank you all.

And BTW, i felt kind of "funny" when I read "... with all those kids...", I kind of felt like my dad, a man with a "big family"...

Funny, because it's true!!

If you're looking for space then definitely not the M6GC. Bigger car, more rear seat space? Not in the case of the 6 series.

Below is interior measurements of (left to right) M3 - M5 - M6GC

As you can see all rear measurements in the M3 is actually greater than the M6GC.

Rear facing car seats are big (I have twins) and require latches over the seat to truly be secure, unless seats have gotten smaller I think you are going to have had time in any of those cars. I don't look at that sort thing any more but most cars used to have rear latch points for only two seats, which means you are going to have a hard time with most vehicles unless things have changed.
