The $500 piggy back compared to Dinan's are 2 complete different.
I have experienced myself having BMS (when no other piggy back was available) and ran that full catless exhaust for 1 year and then switching to Dinan.
Dinan stage 2 drives and performs on another level. Engine and transmission operate way smoother.
The BMS set to 3/3.5 was very comparable to Dinan stage 2 in overall performance.
I have a few clients that made the same switch and all had positive reviews over the BMS JB3
The JB4 is a lot different then the JB3 but still, they are 2 different setups.

You will love the Renntech performance.
We use Renntech performance software on a lot of our AMG clients.
You wont be disappointed.
This is our S63 coupe with Renntech software and catless downpipes.

I've been enjoying my PP Performance Stage II tune a lot, I would definitely recommend this over Dinan (which can't even turn off CEL)
Need to be careful with so much power.. never turn off DSC

Any flash tune would be more beneficial then any piggyback on the market.
The biggest difference for the piggyback market is Dinan's matched warranty.
I also, would recommend flash tunes at my shop but, each scenario and each client is different.

Dinan wont turn off "CEL" for catless downpipes because that is against emission regulation and all their products are emission legal.

When its time for you to smog your car if you do it legally in CA, you have to flash your ECU's to stock because you have 2 emission monitors in the "not ready state" due to your software flash. If you are catless that is.

Not sure ... but since the Dinan went in, the intermittent CEL I had before with the Akra and SS catless downpipes has been gone completely and it is a daily driver on hot sunny days ... so its been out every day since the Dinan went in ... see if it shows up again

Warranty is a big point for me ... and I will be trackin the cars as well as my dealer group has Built a Race track for clients as well, and will be run as a private country club/golf club for gear heads

As a result, Victoria BMW is Dinan Certified, and Three Point Motors is Renntec, the boys at Alpha, Audi, Subaru, Porsche and VW all have their own performance tuning certification coming down the pipes

No performance company backs up the factory warranty.
Even with Renntech, if you develop a drivability issue you may want to flash the ECU back to stock.
But each scenario is different and if your dealer is ok with performance upgrades then you need to discuss with them before hand.

I would go with JB4 + BCM. I know this is about Dinan, but after seeing results and customizability of JB4 and its cost, it made a lot of sense. Technically, there are warranty issues with JB4 but we haven't seen anyone get a warranty claim denied.

good point ... I see traction control light kick in as I turn left onto highway from a stop as I leave for work ... doesn't take much to see traction control kick in from a stop

I have been lazy ... will post pics soon!

Next QUESTION ... (BIG BRIAN, M6 COUP, SPEEDRACERLO , BOBBY DRAKE AND EVERYONE ELSE) .. DO I TRACK THE M6 CAB WITH DINAN STAGE II AND CATLESS DOWN PIPES AND AKRA REGULARLY (ON THE STOCK 20'S I KEPT) OR GET AN M4 OR C63 OR CAYMANN S, OR ALPHA 4C AS A TRACK CAR?

Thoughts? Everyone says the M6 is a PHAT PIG!!!

but 728 Hp and 680 ft lbs can move any PHAT PIG Fast

THOUGHTS AND ADVICE FROM THOSE WHO TRACK THEIR M6'ERS

I have been told that BMW North-America frowns on too many all out zero to 60 launches

Hmmm...Good question. Definitely tracking the M6 will be a lot of fun but it will also cost $$$. If you leased your M6 or plan to keep it short term, then not really a big deal. Or if $$$ ain't a thang, then

My M6 is my daily and I plan to keep it at least 5 years. So no tracking for me. But you're situation is different so...

But if you do track it, stay safe.

Yeap ... it is different ... but the M6 is the daily on nice hot summer days

but been back and forth on tracking it even with putting the stock rims and rubber back on.

Up until now I have been lucky to use the cars the track owns (2016 Caymann S, 2016 M3, 2016 C63 AMG-s, 2016 AMG GT-s, Alfa 4C)

choices are many
