My new 640i gran coupe

Hi All

I today purchased a 2014 640i gran coupe and picking up Thursday.

I have a few questions I hope you can help me with;

1. Ambient lighting - this is listed on my spec sheet. In the MY14.5 version what is this exactly? Is it similar to that in the current x5 ie change colours of lighting strips? Does anyone have a picture of what it looks like?

2. Comfort access on the 640i include the door kick for trunk opening?

3. Do you think my car would look better with black grilles?

Hey mate lovely car. Good to see another Aussie in these forums - are you sydney based?

I think black grilles would look good - personally I'm a big fan of the m style double slatted grilles provided they don't have the m6 badge on them.

Yes I am leaning towards black M6 Style without the badge - I have seen some other forum members car which also don't have the spot for the badge. Will look on Ebay. Also think if I am going to do the grills will need to do side gills and door handle chrome bits to black.

Kind of Sydney based - from Newcastle so not too far!

+1 on the M6 style black grilles. Comfort access do not include the foot/leg sensors on the F06 for the trunk.
