F06 GC Performance Mods Suggestions

Hi guys, I want to play/tweak around with my F06 GC before I sell it (just picked up an M6 last month).

Anyone have any suggestions for a performance kit that can maybe bring the 640i to sub 4's from 0-60? and better 60-120 roll on time?

Enzo Performance does offer a kit, but I am still waiting for them to provide the performance stats in terms of the acceleration time.

So based on their kit, I am thinking a downpipe and ECU tuning. Any other recommendations?

Thanks!

The M6 is your tuned 650 GC lol

Seriously, you could go with Racechip Ultimate or BmS Stage 1.

Acexxon , I would do catless downpipe, JB4 Stage 2, chargepipe, muffler, air intake. That should be sufficient to play around before you sell it.

Thank you, I am always worried about the stock transmission being able to handle the added power. Read some posts by other members on this site about the stock transmission not capable to handle the increase in power.

In your experience, will I have slippery clutch and/or engine/transmission error light with these setup?

Anyone tried the Enzo Performance kit on the N55 engine yet? Any reviews?

Thanks!

I did and have put 2700km on it. I want to at least drive it semi-stock for a year, make sure there's no engine or other warranty issues before I start modding the M6 (BMW dealer in Taiwan is a pain to deal with, they void warranty on everything that's not stock).

Already bought GruppeM intake and ordering Akrapovic system for the M6. But I don't want to have engine's warranty void because of downpipe and ECU tune.

Coming back to the 640i, I want to be able to eat other 640's on the road and basically play around with the car before a buyer shows up.

Transmission is perfectly find.
From what I suggesting it won't go over the limit of the transmission.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback.

What kind of horsepower gain does the package that you suggest add? Are you familiar with Enzo Performance? I kind of want to try their R 400 kit. Don't know what kind of performance number I will be able to get out of it though. Anyone tried their kit and tested the 0-60 and 60-120 roll on time?

Thanks!

Dont worry about the tranny if you are going to sell the car, plus most people here in the 6 forums have not modified their cars to the point of trans failure, from what i've seen the comments are usually based on spec sheets not actual experience.

What I suggested will give you about 70-80whp.

So, being oversea did not stop me, nor Enzo Performance!

The turnaround is fast! They received my ECU this morning and I got an email just now with tracking number!

Really excited to receive the lovely packaged parcel for my 640i! Mind you, it's my first time doing any engine mods and thanks to Chris @ Enzo Performance, he was patient and took time to answer my questions.

Now I should receive the package on the 3rd business day, and we will see how everything goes after I put the car on the Dyno!

These are from their Youtube video.

I will see what my car puts out once I have installed the ECU and downpipe.

One question, would you still have warranty on the car or you're going to have to come out of pocket for damage if anything happens?

Only if your local bmw doesn't find out that tuned the ECU and changed the downpipe....
