Three reasons I opted for the LED headlights:
1) They look great and really set the car apart from the crowd. 2) Functionally they are excellent. Nice pure white light with even dispersion and good coverage. I don't find the adaptive functionality that usefull, but I don't often drive in poorly lit twisty roads. 3) I think they will soon become standard fare on cars in this segment. I can see them being standard on the MSport GC at the very least by LCI if not before (LED headlights are already standard on the CLS sport). Therefore spec'ing them now will ensure the car remains looking contemporary for longer. |

First BMW with no lightbulbs: whats not to love!
"The first BMW with absolutely no lightbulbs."
LED used in the headlights, foglights, indicator lights, interior lighting and ambient lighting and boot lights - not a single conventional lightbulb. Cuts 2 gm/km of CO2, burns cooler and requires less electricity from the battery; provides more natural white light and even dispersion; and looks brilliant. What's not to love??! (except maybe the price!) |

The price may not be lovable, but I didn't give it a second thought. The second I started looking at the 6er, I realized that I just needed to lump the price of the LEDs into the base price, because there was no way in hell I'd have my 6er any other way. It made the premium a little easier to swallow.
