Hello everybody... New 650i gran coupe xdrive owner...
Hello all.
Recently I sold my E92 M3 and bought a 2013 carbon black 650i gran coupe xdrive. I needed the extra doors after our son was born. Was in doubt of buying an M5, but I really liked the 6 gran coupe design and this model came with a lot of options for a good price. Here's some pictures (with the first mod, a black grille): Now, the next thing I want to do is lower it with eibach springs. These xdrives are way too high. Normally I do something like this myself, but this car is a little more complicated than the E92 M3. I did find a diy for an F10, but not an xdrive. Is there anyone who's done this and can help me with some tips or a link on how to do it (especially the front)? Many thanks from Holland... |

Very nice car. I have the same color except with red Nappa inside and no B&O I paid to get my H & R springs installed but, in my younger years, I've lowered past cars myself so I know it's pretty straight forward. With it being a 2 man job and acquiring a spring compressor, etc., I just decided to pay a mod shop to do it. The rear top strut is accessed by removing the speaker grills. It's a tight work space so good luck.

Hello from your convertible twin! 2014 650ix F12, sapphire black with m sport . My first modification was the exact same grills that you did. I also see that you have had the emblems deleted but you are in Europe and I hear that that is a normal thing whereas here in the United States it is not. I actually just finished deleting mine this weekend. I was surprised how easy the project was. I am about to buy some 20" VS Forged wheels and also plan to order the Eibach pro-kit as I hear they work great on our xdrives. Post pics when you get it done. I will do the same. Welcome.

Nice to hear I'm not the only one with xdrive to consider eibach. I assume the lowering will not be much, but it should be enough for my needs. Also planning on installing 20". I might be going for rohana rf1 or rf2.
The emblem delete on my car was a factory option, so I didn't have to do it. Springs are ordered and I've also got a front spoiler lip coming. I'm probably going to do the installation beginning next month and I'll try to make pictures of the process. |

Wanted to go for Hamann, but I didn't really like the fins. So I found something interesting on eBay.
Looks like this: Will post pictures as soon as I got it and it's worth posting... Last edited by PIR3lly; 02-22-2017 at 02:28 PM.. |

I completely agree on the Hamann. Not a big fan of fins either and I'd have to imagine the space between would attract tons of dirt. The one that you pictured has a good design to it. Looking forward to hearing how it works out.
