Headlights question - please help
Hi All
I have a question regarding my headlights. I have the full adaptive led headlights on my 2014 640i GC. When my lights are on auto is there a way to turn off the tiny orange light at the top outer of the headlight? See attached pic. I have never seen orange lights like these tiny ones before one any of the other bmws I have seen? Also the bottom strip of lights down in the front bumper - even when hitting the fog light button mine don't turn on?? |

The bottom lights in the bumper are fog lights, but won't turn on unless headlights are on (not just halos) and not if full beam is on I think.

I'm with Paul...that is a unique light compared to my 2015 US car. i don't have nor ever noticed another car with the little orange light.
when my headlights are on at night (auto or not) then i can turn on those foglights. in the dashboard, there's a green indicator next to the headlight indicator to show the foglights are on. when the headlights aren't on, again, in my US car, i can turn the light switch to the first notch on the right of center for parking lamps, and then also turn on my foglights at that point |

Don't all US cars have orange running lights on them? I thought so anyway.
Anyway, my 2012 has these too (UK car) but they can be coded off. I like them, quite different to see the lights in the UK. |

Headlights
i think there was an update in the LED headlights after the facelift in 2015..I also have 640i GC 2014 and was told that these are not yet the "intelligent" lights..

Additionally, there are the current adaptive LED headlights and then the potentially more advanced laser lights. |

miamiten- No. Pre-LCI headlamps are not capable of Selective Beam functions due to their physical design.[/QUOTE]
