Newbie with a 640d

Hi From southampton Uk
Picked up my 640d a couple months ago and had this very annoying rattle which I believe to coming from the dash, long story short after weeks of hating the car I tracked it down to being a loose screw which holds the coolant tank. Stupid I know.

Since then I am loving the car, purchased a genuine m performance spoiler and fitted over the weekend. Looking for some inspiration on more carbon mods.

I have coded the car for cameras to stay on at all speeds which I believe is a must have, being able to code cars I have a few retrofits planned for the future so keep tuned . NBT . LCI wheel and 6wb digital dash is first.

Does anyone with a 6 have a front view camera?

How are you finding the difference in power delivery after your 135i?

I don’t think there is much power difference between this and the 135i, I do see a lot less of the traction control light so car puts down the power a lot better. I also owned a n55 335i Manual and enjoyed that much more then the 135i. Thinking the light weight of the 135i had its flaws for me with the driving I do.

I think Great choice, this car definitely has more smiles per gallon. Do miss petrol engines but with the active sound and the build quality in this I won’t be missing it to much

Great choice! In my opinion the performance & build quality of the 640d beats any non-M BMW out right now.

Also you can no longer buy a brand new 6 series coupe, which should make it even more rare which is great!

I'm probably being a little bit dramatic here but i don't really want my rear camera popping out at highspeeds in case it rips it off from the drag? It would make a brilliant rear view mirror though!

Yes nothing beats the quality of a 6 in the bmw range different league.

Lol I don’t think the camera will get dragged out as it’s tucked away under the badge even when it’s open. Only time I don’t use if it’s raining
