Ambient Interior Lighting Upgrade?

Hello all, has anyone looked into an ambient lighting upgrade like what comes in other f-series cars, multiple colours brighter lights? I've love to get brighter orange/blue option. would it be as simple as replacing the LED bulb at the end of the fibre tube?

I saw this link, but not a whole lot of information on it.

I looked at this in my 335i. Decided it was a nightmare to get in there with the fiber tube on the door panels and decided to not touch it.
