2 week observations...

First, this is the rarest (non R8GT) car I have ever owned, I have yet to see another one since I picked it up from the dealership. I have no idea why BMW sells so few but regardless I am a happier man for it, I get oohs and ahhs everywhere I go.

Second ,in sport+ (engine and suspension) sport (steering) its fantastic and I would recon one of the best driving GT cars on the planet. Its light on its feet for such a heavy car and gives you fantastic feedback. ///M really nailed the driving experience with the M6!

Third if ///M worked a little harder on the sound (gotta be a way) then it would unstoppable. No matter how you cut it the engine is muffled and the active sound tries to compensate and just adds to the mess. Only time it sounds good is +4kRPM and even then ok at best. Hopefully the new ESport on the way will help but I am doubtful - thinking I might have to go full Akra with Grupp and downpipes if I really want the sound it deserves - time will tell.

Will try and take some pictures of the cars this upcoming weekend. Its just been so busy since pickup.

Well in all honesty as much as I like the M6 my stance on the GT is to keep it forever. Its such an incredible car and amazing how different it is then a standard R8. To me its a convertible R8 built around a GT3 mentality - best of all worlds!

Just curious to your opinions on the oem exhaust. Is your opinion on sound strictly on the engine? I have heard the F13 with axle back systems which sounds amazing but have yet to hear one with an oem system.

Stock exhaust is underwhelming. Specially compared to the previous M6. I went with the M Performance Exhaust by Akrapovic only 3k miles into owning the car. It's just a lot more enjoyable now. The stock exhaust leaves a lot to be desired and with the amount of insulation in these cars it's almost impossible to hear.

I was making a joke with the BMW service manager if there was a way to poke some hole in the cabin. I am shocked at how well insulated these cars are.. its incredible and a tragedy at the same time.

One of my favourite options on the car so far is the B&O night lights. Adds a nice touch when you are cruising in the evening! A crappy quick video, notice the light strips and centre speaker.

Use to live in Hamilton (McMaster University) lets try and hookup sometime; my girlfriend of 3 years was in Ancaster - nice area. Now I live off of Avenue road so if you are ever planning trip to Toronto let me know!

Honestly it still surprises me how rare this car is .. I have yet to see one in Toronto and I see almost everything especially down Avenue road (I live off it). So I am still feeling quite special in that sense. Can't wait to get the car back tomorrow with the exhaust added, the sound is really the only complaint I have about it.
