That and the fact that the E63-S 4MATIC wasn't available because they were in the UK and not the US.

The E63-S 4MATIC is a sub-4 0-60 car.

3.4 seconds is what it takes for the E63-S 4MATIC wagon to hit 60.

Wow! Great Review.

This is the third year BMW has spent tweaking the M6 and based on Chris's reaction it just keeps getting better, The M3/4 should be great right from the Get Go and be even better in the third year.

In my opinion ,
The comparison should have been between direct competitors of the M6.
CLS 63 AMG , AUDI RS7 and Porsche Panamera Turbo S .

that F12 video is one of the best pieces of Automotive journalism I have ever seen.

A lot of the credit should go to his producer Neil Carey as well, the direction is every bit as sublime as Chris's commentary and driving.

Nice car! My guess is that 4WDversion would be faster up to about 90mph or so - after that M6 GC slightly faster (just a guess) -4wd would have traction advantage at first - but at higher speeds where traction less important the slightly higher weight and greater drivetrain loss of 4WD would be more apparent than 2WD version. Obviously 4Wd just as fast at speeds that won't land you in jail!!

The M6 is not a competition package equipped car, hence 10 bhp less. It could have been worst for the E63

M6 is also a sub 4 second car, if he used launch control. I'd venture to say it would be a close race. But with the drivetrain loss of the AWD, I still think the M6 would pull on it when they get rolling. Look at the last 20 seconds of the vid, Chris even admits that his launch sucked. Definitely some time to be shaved there.
