The only other thing that comes to mind is that this looks a lot like a slammed X6...

- America buys trucks (cause they're cheap)
- BMW makes cars...Let's make trucks...fancy trucks
- Let's make a new, "segment defining" truck...The X6. a grand physics experiment.
People are buying the X6 cause they want to be different...cool!

- Hmmm, focus groups are saying they want something with better handling...less," trucky." The X6 has cache, but it's kind of trucked-up in a way. How about we lower it to give it better road manners and call it a GT? We can recycle the 6 designation from the extra sedan coupe we used to make.

I guess it sort of makes sense at some level.

That thing needs some bigger wheels NOW - I mean, done better, I could see how someone might like how this looks and the utility that it can bring.

But instead of looking cool, like the new Panamera, the 6erGT just looks awkward to my eyes...

My wife loved the loaner I had a few years ago when the 3GT just came out. It's convenient for my wife, but I fucking loathed the thing just based on appearance alone. I'd rather drive a FIAT 500.

Always love the six series as a gentlemen's BMW. Wireless smartphone charging and Wi-Fi are now standard. And the iDrive infotainment system has been updated to version 5.0. I like these things.

Personally I actually like the 3GT, the rear end is a bit better done, less chunky. Paired with some larger wheels and a mild drop (not to mention some exterior modifications possibly), they don't look bad at all.

I don't think many realize this, but if you look at the new 6GT's front bumper and the pics we've seen of the upcoming F90 M5, they share a more alike fascia than the G32 does with the regular G30 5er. I think BMW does this to give more of an "M" (for marketing

) feel.

Doesn't look too bad with the mild drop and better wheels. I'm curious to see this render in a dark color

Cool, how nice it must be to recline the backseats. Smart move BMW! Looks great. But what's up with having to pay an additional fee for adaptive headlights, and an interior lighting package. For the price you're charging for the 6 Series Gran Turismo these should all be standard.

It looks identical to the 3GT. I see no difference besides upgraded interior.

Just took a look at the specs for the 3GT compared to this. The 6 is 5 inches longer 5 inches wider but have nearly identical leg room front and back and head room is identical. Only the trunk is a little bigger in the 6. So this is a bloated slower 3GT for 20k more.
