[PICS] New Vorsteiner GTS-V Front Lip // BMW M6 F13 [PICS]

I installed the new Vorsteiner GTS-V front lip last Sunday. The install took me about 3.5 hours. The fitment leaves a little to be desired because you have to drill 14 holes into the bumper and the width of the arc where it meets the wheel wells is too narrow. It took some trimming of the underneath plastic shielding on the car to get it to sit flush with the underneath of the bumper. I understand most aftermarket stuff never fits perfect so don't take this as complaining -- take it as FYI if/when you install yours.

I didn't use the screws that Vorsteiner provided as it's much easier to use hex head screws because you can use a magnetic bit to make sure the screw doesn't slip off during installation. The magnetic bit and hex head screws made it a lot easier because you have to finagle the screw into a small opening on 10 of the mounting points.

I snapped a few pictures at the gym today before work. It was overcast this morning so they didn't come out great but at least you can see how it looks on the car. I have not had any scraping issues so far and I have the car lowered all the way on KWs.

Overall (besides fitment issues) I am very happy with the look and how secure the front lip is attached to the car.

Thanks guys. I think the next step is to get the side blades back on the car. As some of you know I crunched the passenger side blade exiting the parking garage at my office building. Vorsteiner is providing me a good price on a single replacement blade due to the incident. I think once they are back on it will complete the look as it will be the full aero kit.

Only issue I have with the side blades is I can no longer fit a jack under the car. I think I might look into those jacks that you place under the tires that helps prop up the car so you can fit a jack under the jacking points.

I am really surprised I have not scraped the front lip yet. As some of you know I crunched the side aero blades on the 3rd day having them on the car. This lip actually has decent clearance which is impressive.

Although.... The Wifey almost stepped on it while walking through the garage and said "oh shit that thing is pretty cool but I almost stepped on it -- that would have been bad!"

From what i heard this lip has a slight curve upward but hard to tell in picture. I have their first model which is almost impossible not to scrape at times. I find myself driving at angles more often than not and have already cracked it in the center. Looks great though haha.

You are right in the fact that it's slightly angled upward. It's kinda hard to notice unless you look at it from a certain angle but you are indeed correct.

I still have not scraped it anywhere which I am 100% completely amazed at myself. I am more scared of those cement parking blocks and have been backing in to most parking spots that have those blocks. If I plow into one of those it's game over for sure.
