Key Fob case

Just discovered that my key fob "trunk button" has been damaged. It is always in the "on" position and opens the trunk when I open the garage door or get near the car. If it is pressed for more than 55sec the car does not recognize the fob anymore and starting it becomes laborious. There is no damage to the inside of the fob I just need a new plastic shell. Complete set with new electronics at dealer is $500 USD. Has anyone found a "shell" online that I can switch the unit over to? I do have a spare so the car is working fine. Just want a 2nd key in case.
Many Thanks

Sam

I've seen replacement shells on eBay for about $10-$30. Here's one for $12.
