HELP hood bonnet stuck shut won't open 2014 640i

Hello All,

My hood won't pop open today - seems to be the passenger side latch isn't releasing. I tried dropping the passenger side wheel lining and the splash guard underneath the car to try to gain access to the cable but no luck.
Any suggestions?

Maybe have someone push down on the hood while you pull the lever.

Hi. I know this is a bit of an old thread but I'm stuck in this exact situation now. 2013 650i and the passenger side bonnet latch wont unlatch

Tried removing the passenger side wheel and wheel arch lining and there is ZERO access to the cable there, so stuffed this engine bay is..

I saw this YouTube video below which gives me some hope (its for an F10 but I think it should work the same..), but has anyone been able to remove the grille from the outside?

I'd really like to not have to break my grille to gain access to that side hole.. I can confirm that the hole exists on the F06

Or any other suggestions?
