BMW M6 mileage.

Going to see an M6 tomorrow.

The spec is amazing, but the mileage is 45k for 2013 plate car. I wondered if it too high? I do about 6000 miles per year and would probably keep it for 2 years.

The car has the following

Competition pack

Ceramics

B&O

Plus it's got 8 months left on warranty and the brakes were replaced under warranty less than 10k miles ago.

Thats 12k miles a year, normal here in the states. You can also extend the BMW warranty for 2 years for about $5k US. My 2013 has 40k miles, and the warranty ended in October. I just bought a 2 year 70k extension. Just factor the cost of the warranty, and add-in maintenance and then you will know if it is a good deal. I do not think the 2013s had the comp pack though so check the vin.

BTW -- I picked up my 2013 in September 2012, and ceramics were not offered, nor was the competition package, so that is good advice to check the VIN. Also, I believe ceramics should last for around 100k, so look into why they were replaced so soon.

Hi,

It's got competition pack and the brakes were replaced because of making squealing noise.

if the price is right, it sounds like a "buy" to me. Especially with CCBs, if they replaced the brakes (not sure if rotors and pads or just the pads), it deflected a major cost of ownership for this car (replacing CCBs at around 100k) by another 3 years further.
