FINALLY found a 650i x-drive w/ night vision & ACC (problem is it's a 2013))

So I found the vehicle I have been waiting for but I was hoping it would still be under warranty (aka less miles) and I wish it was a 2014.

Since it's OUT of warranty I have some questions for you guys.
I understand some 2013's came with the n63tu but still had problems with need engine replacements. Other 2013's had the crappy n63.

How can I tell, with the vin, which engine is in this 2013?
Lastly, if this is the n63tu, it looks like it was a corp lease vehicle. So I can imagine maintenance was not kept up. Telling me I will probably have OC issues. What warranty do you guys buy once your 650i was or will be out of warranty?

**UPDATE**
I put a deposit down on it cause it also has the cooled & heated seats, HUD, active and adaptive cruise control, etc....

I noticed it has been to TWO dealerships & then sold at auction. This third dealership sent me the KBB and it's clean. Just a fleet vehicle which scares me and not knowing if it has the N63tu or not. (Which I believe is still a headache for the 2013 model years)

Hoping to hear back from you experts. Thanks in advance.

Now I'm getting 2 new fuel injectors. This problem with the N63tu has been documented as being the bad injectors from the prior (no "tu" motor) still being used in the early production 2013 models. Also may be bad coils, but I doubt it.

First thing you should do is check whether it still is in factory warranty.
If it is, then BMW should be able to quote you an extended warranty with just the VIN. If they don't offer you a warranty it is because the vehicle has been flagged.

As for whether it is a N63 or N63TU you can plug the vin into here:
https://www.bmwvin.com/

If it is a TU it will say N63T and if not it will say N63

Thank you. It is a N63T (aka TU) and build date is 11/2012. You've helped a ton with that link.

All 2013 Model Year V8's do have the N63TU engine, build dates began 7/2012. I ordered an very early N63TU with a build date of 8/2012, car has been solid, very reliable and joy to own.

So, some sad news.

Using the VIN decoder w/ my VIN WBAYM1C5XDDZ02557
along w/ looking at the pictures of the car I put a deposit down on. The 650i doesn't seem to have:
-active massage seating
-lane departure warning
-active parking assist (parks itself)
-M-sport package
-heated steering wheel
-can't tell if it has ARS

I find it odd that I have night vision, surround view camera, and what LOOKS like adaptive cruise control on the steering wheel yet no mention of the lane departure warning or active park assist in the bmw vin decoder. That's a bummer.
Here are photos of the interior for you experts that can help.

I'd like to know if anyone has successfully retrofitted a 650iGC rear brake light bar in the rear windshield as well.

I don't think you should be so sad.

The only options I can see missing are:
B&O sound
Active driving assistant Plus (You have blindspot monitoring and lane departure)
Active seats (Which are meh anyways)
M Sport package ( You lose active cruise control with this though)
Heated steering wheel

You have EDC as well so that's nice.

Why would you want to retrofit a GC rear brake light?
You already have a rear brake light bar on your trunk.
Also the GC rear brake light doesn't go in the rear windshield it's a separate piece above the windshield.

Thanks for chiming in. What is EDC?
I noticed park assist (car parks itself) is not available on ANY xdrive models cause us Xdrive guys have hydraulic steering.

All I could find on active drive assist plus is "The optional Driving Assistant Plus Package also adds Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Active Lane Keeping Assistant with Side Collision Avoidance, Traffic Jam Assistant, Evasion Aid and Cross-traffic alert front."
Which I have active cruise control but I don't think the other items were available on 6 series in 2013. I could be wrong though.
The heated steering wheel I noticed I can retrofit. So that's nice.

Thanks again for your knowledge and chiming in.

Electronic damper control.
Softens/Tightens your suspension.

Driving assistant plus may not have been available in 2013 and therefore you would have had to purchase these options separately.
