2014 M6 Coupe

Hi all. Last year I bought a new 2014 M6 in Singapore Grey. It is loaded and with ceramic brakes but pretty much kept in the garage due to snow. Now I've decided to do some "work" on it. The one thing that I feel needs immediate attention is the rear brake calipers. The calipers at the back are pretty sorry looking (BMW please take note) especially with ceramic rotors and when compared to the front callipers.

Even cars that cost considerably less have nicer looking stock calipers. This is defintely a trivial issue, but what should I do?

Best color, but then I'm not biased. Congrats!

Sorry looking how? Color, size, lettering? If it's the color and lettering, then powder coat them with your color of choice and apply a set of Brembo stickers.

If size, then that's a function of $$$.

Very nice and congrats! That is the way to go. The Ceramic Breaks are a great option. Enjoy.

I called BREMBO and asked if they make calipers for the rear and they said since the rear calipers have an electronic controlled parking brake they don't make a caliper kit for the rear.

I have a feeling no other manufacturer is going to go the length of incorporating BMW's electronic parking brake into their caliper either. So... We are probably SOL in terms of getting a better looking caliper.

Functionally no problems. Ceramic brakes are just sweet. This is just a cosmetic point that on a car of this stature the front and rear calipers would look so different.

I had noticed this too. The M4 has much nicer looking 4 piston rear calipers.

If you all are so fed up with the ugly color of your calipers, just whip them and the rotors off the car and ship them to me. I'm sure I can find something to do with them.

Seriously though, powder coat them your favorite color and enjoy.
