2013 M6 F13 // BMS Tune // Dyno Results

Just got back from the dyno today and wanted to share my results...

2013 M6 F13 Modifications
BMS Stage 1 Piggy Back Tune
Motive Concepts Catless Downpipes
Eisenmann Mid-Pipes
K&N Filters
Carbon Fiber Delete

Dyno Dynamics rollers with Mainline software was the configuration of the machine. As everyone knows the DynoJet numbers are the "bragging" numbers so it was cool that the Mainline software corrects the results to provide you DynoJet numbers as well. We didn't get a DynoJet corrected torque reading due to not having a proper tach signal.

We started with +0 on the BMS and worked our way up to +4. Car had 10 gallons of 91 octane and 5 gallons of 116 octane which allowed some insurance when running at +4. I was tempted to run it at +5 but I was happy with the results at +4.00 so we called it a day (I daily drive the car at +3).

Dyno Dynamics Results (614hp / 693ft pd torque)

DynoJet Corrected Results (701hp)

614hp at the wheels, correct? That's good man ! Did you ever run it at the track? I wonder where you'd be at ( 1/4 mile) ?

This is impressive Brian. Makes me want to slap BMS back on my car.

Yes 614hp at the wheels. Never ran the quarter mile but might give it a shot soon. The torque on these cars is madness @ 693ft pd of torque -- ridiculous.

Let me ask Chris to see if he can get me the AFR chart. We welded in a bung right after the downpipes and screwed the o2 sensor in there. Reading was 14.5 across the low to mid rpms and once it got above ~5k the car richened up to around 12.5.

Good dyno result, my start riching up once passed 4.5k rpm slowly to 11.5 AFR on 4th gear & went to 10.6 AFR on 5th gear on the road.

I don't recall mine going to 11 but I was probably more wound up in the power it was making lol. I have an AFR gauge I am going to wire in so I can monitor it in real time. Not sure where to mount it though. M6beat put it in his glove box.

Will the position of the bung make a diff? My is just after the downpipe which I think most of us should be doing it at about the same point.

Anyone can suggest anything to make it less rich, I suppose it should gain more power running leaner.

At the boost levels you are running you DONT want to be leaner , trust me. Only way to get optimal AFR's , timing , boost etc. is for a full access ECU retune. Not the modified press file stuff that PP performance and everyone else uses. Maybe some day it will happen but I'm not hopeful.

For US cars the micro cats don't work . Our Emissions profile is stricter than the rest of the world .
