Need help and confusing about the H&R springs
Hi everyone , I just got my 2015 640xi gran coupe m sport last week , so I had call H&R and few bmw shops ask for which lower springs will fit and drop nice on my car , but they all saids that H&R doesn't making and lower springs for my car yet , they only made for i , not xi , but I thought they should be the same , probably the height will be diff , because usually xi oem spring setting is higher than i , so I bought and installed the one for i , it no problem with the ride , but the rear is like stock high , front dropped a little bit , can anyone tell me which springs and correct part # I supposed to get and will drop lower and seats nice , thank you very much !!!!!

Have a 650xi and my shop called H&R and yes you were originally given the correct info. They do NOT make a set of springs for the Xi yet. The ones for the regular RWD cars will fit as you have noted but you won't get the correct height on them as you've noted all around. Not sure if there's a fix for it other than to install the correct springs. I do know that the 550i and 550ix are both different and have separate part numbers from H&R. Maybe a set of 550ix would work but that would be a more of a trial and error type of approach. If it helps my shop told me that H&R says they are working on a set but no idea of availability yet.
Post pics of what your car looks like..maybe someone else can chime in with an answer here.

and below is the part#28947-4 for 640i coupe, and the approx. lowering are the same as the part#50476 for 650i coupe, they are same F dropped .20 and R dropped .50 , so I'm trying to put #28947-4 on my 640xi gran coupe as my friend put #50476 on his 650xi gran coupe, prob will drop with the same result as him ( if make sense )!!!

The ideal way to go would be the KW sleeve over kit, but not sure they make it for the Xi. Springs make the car way too bouncy and you lose feedback from the road with just adding lowering springs. For a few extra hundred bucks, the sleeve over kit would be ideal. You should see if KW sells this kit or if they plan on making one.

I escalated it all the way up and there's definitely something fishy with whats going on with the GC springs. If you look at the F12/F13 springs, they drop the car nearly square, where the GC springs have almost 1" of difference between the front and rear. They should not be sold like this, the drop does not look right. I have numberous emails to John Filipak at H&R regarding this issue and he was going to find me some rears that would lower the vehicle properly. We were trying to figure out why the drop was so different on GC's when I traded my car and suspended conversations. The issue will need to be resolved for us to run the springs on our car. If you are interested I can forward you all our conversation so you have a starting point, because clearly this is an issue and GC owners should know that the H&R drop looks like shit on our cars. The early versions of H&R springs that you see that seem to have a square drop, are srpings desigened for the f10 535 that have been mounted onto our cars.

I used the 50476 on my 2014 F13 650i and the drop was good, not too low, I'm using 40 series tires in the front and 35 in the back now and that filled out the fender/quarter gap perfectly. Far as the ride goes, it doesn't change drastically, you still have the sport and comfort settings and the car is still pretty soft in comfort, in sport it's stiffer but I am considering the install of the Dinan Shockware to take it up another notch in the firmness of the ride.
