I love the e28. Even as a former e30 owner (and still a huge fan), I like the e28 M5 more than the e30 M3.

I do like the F10 and the F90, but the E39 is still the best... that's the design that sold me on BMWs when I was younger, every time I see that scene in Mr. and Mrs. Smith with the 3 M5s, it makes me want to find one and buy it.

I agree the E39 is great. The F90 is pretty special as well. I am not as big of fan on the F10 M5.

E34 E60 E28 F10 TBD: F90 Favorite at the top. I didn't like the G30 535 I drove because it was such a porker. Totally different beast with the M5 though. It will be interesting to see if it captures the essence of prior M5s.
