Contrast Stitching on Nappa leather only?

Is the contrast stitching only available with the Nappa Leather? BMWs website says contrast stitching is included on the M-Sport Edition, it doesn't say it requires Nappa... but I was at the dealer today looking at a June 2013 build M-Sport Edition 640 GC with Dakota Leather and it did not have contrast stitching.

Another 640 with Ivory White interior with Nappa had the contrast stitching...

I have contrast stitching on my Merino Leather.

In Canada, you can get it with merino leather. Mine is merino and with contrast stitching.

Merino is more expensive than nappa right?
