D2 or Megan

I'm going with coilovers on my '13 F06 650i Xdrive. I see D2 coilovers for $1,000 and Megan for $900. The Megan is better price but out of the two which would you consider a better system? Both are adjustable.

P.S - If you have experience with either, I would like to know how it treated you.

Don't. Go with KW. I have heard about quality issues on both.

Buy this guy's used KW V2 at the very least.
KW V2 coilovers TX http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1194915

I am using the same coilover in my F06. I am not sure if it fit on the xi though.

Both are the same (Megan & D2) manufactured in the same place, but with different colors and tags ... I have Megan in my 550i, it's been a year and they have been pretty good.

However like he said, KW is way better, just way more.

That's why I pointed out to a used set.

What's really the difference between xi and i? H&R claims that their springs only work for 650i and not xi but, many folks with xi have H&R springs on their car for more than a year without issue and don't they have the same item number?

Coming from a guy with Megan, I might as well go with KW.

Ok, I think the RWD might not fit.
The bottom of the front shock doesn't have enough opening for the front axle.

It is rule of thumb, if it is not made for your car do not risk putting it on your car no matter what anyone else says or does. I do have to commend you for being only 22 and being in a 6 series! Best advice, leave it stock, or only use high quality backed parts. Also I saw you were talking about more power, and I don't know what kind of cars you have been used to driving, but a 650 with the JB tune that takes 5 mins to install and does not alter anything like drilling a hole in the ecu for a flash puts down over 500lbft of torque to the wheels. If you're not careful with that kind of power you will lose control of the rear end under hard acceleration. Take it easy, one step at a time. I just sold a 700hp 650tq Saleen before I leased the 6, you need to LEARN how to drive a car with that kind of power before getting in and making a mistake that can cost you your life, and others.

Yes, the 6 series is powerful. I am young, I appreciate the respect given. This car isn't the fastest car I've driven. Prior to this 6 series I owned a 2014 Jeep SRT and it's 3x the size of the 6 series and after owning it for a about 8 months, it started to feel slow (and the maintenance was always on time) just as this 6 series is starting to feel. Those are some high numbers, I've driven the 2012 CLS 63, 2003 E55 and compared to those cars the 6 series isn't big competition. I am young but that doesn't mean I'm reckless lol.

The coilovers should be fine on the xdrive though?

There's like NOTHING that can be done to make the xdrive MORE aggressive but pipes. That really sucks!
