B&O subwoofer not working

Good afternoon,

So, about a week ago i realized there were significant difference in bass on my B&O sound system. I'm sure that both subwoofers went off. I tried to reset i-drive but it did not change anything. Anyone in here experienced this before?

Or maybe someone happen to know a good audio shop in Socal that is familiar with the B&O sound system? Because my car is put of warranty.

Thanks!

I just replaced the subs with Earthquake SWS and could not be more happy. They kill the stock B&O subs.

Its a '13 and I had it set at +4. I tried to adjust the bass level from 0 to max but still you can hear anything from the subs.

Did you replace it under warranty?

The pair is $220 and then you need the installation rings, I doubled them so I did not have to remove the plastic enclosure, just used longer screws to hold down the subs onto the rings and wired them. Took about 30 mins per side, you just unbolt the seats and tilt them into the back seats and you have enough room to work.

Mind failed about of warranty it was just staticy here and there but it was a rear door so not noticeable. I was going to wait to upgrade the whole system. B&O isn’t really that good at all in these cars

People say they hit harder than the Bav Sound. They are not hard at all to install, look at my post above yours for how to do it. You're going to have to unclip the harness and splice the wires, normal for simple stereo installs.

My right seat sub went, replaced under warranty. Check with the balance to see if you lost both subs or just one. If its both subs it may be an amp issue.

UPDATE!

I brought my car to an independent BMW shop to get it troubleshot. It displays that the amplifiers for the audio system does not get enough power supply from the battery. I have never replaced my battery, so I already place an order for a new one.

Let's see if replacing battery will resolve this issue.

I will give another update when i get the battery replaced!

Thanks

Make sure you re-register the OEM settings (yes, register the new battery) to the vehicle as you introduce a new battery conjunctively. On my previous 5 series, I didn't follow this protocol and efficient dynamics was giving me quite the PITA along with my ownership horizon subsequently. This idiocracy of a mistake eventually lead down a slippery slope with the end result of my Certification (of the CPO status) to be stripped away. It was sad. And in the past. And I've chosen to never deal with those folk any more.

So, lesson: got a new battery? Cool, good move. Just make sure you take yourself to BMW Dealer and tell the agents that you plan on getting a (or got a new one) new battery and advise you on what/how (based upon on their professional judgement) to proceed further. Get it in writing.

EDIT: for the tag

You mean register the new battery to the car right?
