Not So Sure

The M stripes on a car in this price class is a bit much. The rest is nice, but 4 years late in my opinion.

I am really looking forward to the next 6er where the buzz points to a more focused sports car offering.

I think BMW of San Antonio had one, but I don't see it on their website anymore. Maybe it sold?

Where BMW genius of marketing and development of cars come in ....create something that most of will not like or think looks like shit with stickers and mods, then pump the shit out of the price, limit production, then at the end of the day we love our choice of BMW that much more. The more you like what you have, the less chance a customer will change brand.

I think the single option really worth the money, but I would order one, it's not leaving the dealership without removing those damn stripes!

The car is a "Competition" edition, not "Soft Blvd Cruiser" edition. The stripes are a tribute to this car, perhaps the greatest competition BMW of all time.

Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion, it's just curious to me that some people don't understand why the car has stripes!

#becauseracecar
Trust me, I get the tribute "attempt" but the stripes look so much better on this one (much bolder and fit the car nicer) than on the M6

Does anyone know if the extra stripes are stickers or painted on?

Decals. You can actually buy them separately for your M6. Please don't do it...

Haha I will not be purchasing these, I was looking at used 16 with the stickers so I wanted to make sure I could remove them.

I have the option of picking one up with under 10K miles for low 70's. I might just get a 15 GC though and use the extra 20K I saved on a truck for the crappier days.

wow. This depreciation is breath-taking. If you are to buy the white cars, I wouldn't recommend removing the decals. I think the edition car actually will be a collector car eventually, and people will want the decal.

Of course, you can always reinstall it, but you'll be spending thousands later to buy the part and do the professional install. (I image it's akin to installing a wrap or clear bra.

I bought the 15 GC lol, the numbers made more sense, and the condition of the 15 vs the 16 was dramatic. Plus I saved myself 20k+ and put that towards a winter beater...
