M6GC Side Camera Problem

Have my M6GC for almost 3 months and found a little problem when I randomly checked the car tonight.

One side camera goes a little bit inside as the photo shows, while the other side position is just normal.

(btw, camera functions normally, image display is clear)

Not sure if it is a manufacture problem when they assembled the car or not. Anyone knows why?

Gonna ask the dealer this week when I do my first service....

That's not bad at all! As long as it works properly... But if it really bothers you, your local dealership should be able to reposition it for $50 or even free! Takes 10 mins...

Did you plastidip it?

It was kinda annoying when I first saw it, but seriously nobody's gonna care or mention about it:S

I increased the brightness of the photo to show the darker part, which is the side camera.

The camera is definitely not sitting as far forward as it should be. It wont be completely flush with the side of the bumper but it should also not be sunken in like that. Check this thread from IND to see how they should look and how the camera is set into the bumper.

I know that is an M5 but the camera system is the same.

As was mentioned above have the dealer fix it or pull the one screw out of the fender liner, so you can access the camera, and push it into place.

When I swapped the reflectors on my M6 the cameras were a little hard to get into those holes so I can see how this could have happened at the factory.
