Does that affect all bmws, or is each model different?
ALL BMWs, including the M6. CA confirmed...

WELP- my order is officially in so no going back now.

Frozen space gray
White opal full leather
CCB
Executive package
6 spd MT
Black 343m wheels

135k sticker- but can't figure out the pay out (will be doing a two year prepaid lease) until the rates are out.

Week 13 build as well. But given all of my "priority 1/individual" options, I'll be lucky to see it before July.

Let's hope I get it sometime in 2015! Lol

Frozen Space Gray...just wow!

Let us know if there's any changes to the full leather. I heard BMW may be removing that option.

For sure- once my car goes into production I'll start a new thread documenting the important updates/steps the car goes through.

Nice build. I'll definitely recognize a frozen M6 as yours if I see it around the west side of LA and will be sure to say what's up by giving you my loudest carbon ceramic brake squeal. I've only seen a few F12/13 M6's in my area of LA to date, and each time it was just a one off sighting so I'm guessing they were only passing through.

That's lots of fun. I followed all of the production steps when my car was built last year. My CA didn't get the name of the ship it was on, though, so I couldn't track its journey across the ocean using the shipping maps as others have done.

Hahahaha since I'll have the ceramics on mine as well- I'll be sure to respond by reciprocating the brake squeal. It'll be like our cars will be having their own conversation

I'll be following your progress closely! I'm very curious how long it'll be and also the final result.

I checked my files, and I signed the Special Order form at Crevier on 4/19/14, and I took Performance Center Delivery in SC on June 19. So exactly two months to the day. I don't know how much longer it would have taken if I had taken delivery in Santa Ana, but the cars are usually shipped to Port Hueneme, which I assume requires a trip through the Panama Canal.

I highly recommend PCD for the experience. Even more so if there is any risk of future strikes at the ports that may extend to Port Hueneme.

From the PCD- did you then drive it across the country or did you contract a closed trailer to move it?

I'm heavily considering this option.

Drove it across. I have relatives in the Boston area (I'm originally from that area), so we drove up through the mountains and various back roads to break the car in, stopped in to see a Broadway show in NYC, visited the relatives, got the 1200-mile service, and then drove back to CA. We love those kinds of road trips. We always joke about how we knew we were compatible when we went on a three-week road trip a couple months after we first met and didn't immediately split up afterwards.

Here's a couple pictures taken along old Route 66 in McLean, TX. Supposedly the first Phillips station in Texas.
