My install was no problem....done at BMW dealer.

No dyno data but car definitely feels stronger, more responsive - especially above 3500 RPM.

The only thing's I can note to make sure that the connectors going to "both" engine control modules are plugged in correctly.
The connectors can easily be mistaken and plugged in wrong which can damage the pins.
Also, pay attention to how the harness gets routed, clear of obstruction.
And last when programming the vehicle, it needs to be within 10 feet of the programming computer otherwise you will loose signal.
The Dinantronics is wireless and needs a strong signal to program.
Have the person programming the unit to make sure after programming that the file is correct.
After that, enjoy the performance.
I have programmed many Dinantronics and each client is more then happy

Get the stage 2. It is a noticeable difference from the stage 1.
I chirp tires shifting into 3rd gear merging onto the fwy

Is there any new information on tuning for the 2012+ M6? I have read this and countless other threads for days now. There are quite a few that will tune the ECU itself, but being under warranty, I will not take that path yet. Dinan seems to not be any different from the other piggyback systems other than the warranty.

Jag from ECU tuning group sounds very convincing when speaking to him, but is his or any other piggyback worth more than the BMS? Just got this car and my tuned 07 sl55 will kill it so I just want this car up to par. Thanks in advance!

Just removed my M6 from storage and each time I realize how much I miss it. Anyway in response to your question, none of the other companies offer a similar BMW factory warrantee. This is the dilemma because others are as good if not better but they offer no significant warrantees.

Jeff, thanks for the response. I understand the warranty but you can also remove the piggyback prior to service. I know some frown on that, but dealers to plenty for us to frown upon also. Given that, I am having the toughest time deciding which one (not Dinan) to go with.

Personally I would wait for AMS to release their ECU tune. AMS is a very well respected name in the industry and their tune should be out shortly. If you are looking for a piggy back tune Burger/JB4 is the best bang for your buck and can also control/monitor methanol flow as well if you end up going that route.

I like the thought of the ECU tune direct, but I do not want to deal with the hassle of BMW complaining about it when I bring it in for service, or them resetting it. Burger I would just remove.

Yes, I can understand that concern for sure. I was straight up with my dealership when I first purchased the car, let them know I was going to mod it, and asked for their support. They know everything I have done to the car and work with me on everything. I know most dealerships are not like this (from what I have heard) but I prefer to be straight up with people (it's the way I am) because you just never know what they will say.

I also tip the service guys (generously) once in a while which probably helps. The way I see it is if they are helping me out then it's well deserved. You tip a waiter nicely when service is good right? Why not tip the service guys when the service is good? I will say this for sure "It goes a loooooooong way!"

AMS is certainly a very good company. Another solid BMW tuner to consider is ESS.

Hmm... Well it sure looks to be and I just found the tune on IND (link below). I was on a waiting list with AMS and they were supposed to contact me when it was ready. So much for that /facepalm.

Link: http://ind-distribution.com/ind/ams-alpha-f1x-m6-tune

It looks like there is an option for "AMS Turbos" as the "Turbo Type". I sent IND an email about this because last I heard AMS was 3-4 months out coming up with a tune for their new turbos. If the tune is finalized for the new turbos I assume get the turbos and the tune all in one shot.
