Is this a good price for Michelin PSS?
Through my local Costco, I can get fully fitted Michelin PSS for my 640d for the following prices
Front - £225.46 per tyre Rear - £252.58 per tyre. Is that a good price? I've seen varying prices online but I've never used somewhere that delivers tyres to a fitter who then fit them, I've always gone for supply and fit. That is obviously more expensive but I need to know who to use if going to separate supply and fitters. Thanks |

Good price saving by about a fiver (using Tyreleader/Camskill and knowing someone who can mount them), if using someone like Event tyres the best I can do is 235.
Although watch it I have heard of problems with Costco causing damage to wheels during removal and mounting of tyres. Regarding the 4S there appears no current sizes available, it is that new. |

I used the online Tyreleader back in April and paid £788.84 for all 4 MPSS delivered all the way from Germany. That is £177.58 per tyre for the front and £216.84 per tyre for the rear. I found someone locally to fit them and dispose of the old tyres for £48.
I recently had a front puncture in the sidewall when I hit a pothole and had to make an emergency purchase from the local HiQ which cost me £235.95. So the Costco prices are OK but you can get them much cheaper and it is worth doing if you are buying a set of 4. |

I have PS4S going on on Friday, but they can only get MO fitment for the front, non MO are not available from Michelin until March apparently. So you have 2 sets?

No that's ok, I spoke to Michelin today about this. They said that their recommendation is not to fit OEM vs non marked on the same car, but they said that's from a performance standpoint, you might not get the 100% best out of them but would probably have to be driving on the limit to notice. The only thing that concerned me is that the non marked are rated C for rolling resistance whereas the MO are marked as E, and the non marked are rated A for wet grip but the MO are marked as B. I hopefully won't notice much difference.
Shame otherwise I would have asked if you wanted to sell them! |

I haven't found it to be as bad as I was expecting, certainly better than the F10 on RFTs, but it's definitely hard over the potholes and tramlines a bit, to be expected. I hope it will be a good improvement. To be honest I'm looking forward to reducing the wheelspin a bit in mot of the low gears!
People say its a night an day difference so we'll see. |

I reckon they will be ready to go on around the end of spring / start of summer this year. To be honest with you though I have been trying hard to wear them out just so I can get the Michelin's slapped on as quickly as possible! |

I know what you mean, I've still got a fair bit of tread left but the tyres are oval shaped at the rear apparently, hence my vibration. But I think the next few days calls for a bit of "enthusiastic" driving
