Go with 433 because 343 are so played out and i have seen too many 3 series and 5 series with them.

Plus 343 come stock and you will probably see it on a daily basis on M5/M6.

The other day i saw a minivan with replica 343.

343 all the way for me too, it complements the M6 design, doesn't distract from it. Bet it's easier to maintain, keep clean and refurb if required.

343.

343 are forged, therefore lighter and stronger. 433 are cast, therefore weaker and heavier.

Don't believe what BMW tells you! 343M are forged. 433M and 601M are cast.

Those sizes are also M5 sizes not M6 sizes, the M6 has 9.5J front and 10.5J rear.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...43&hg=36&fg=15

Also, compare the weight. A front 343M is 25.1lb, a 433M is 31.1lb.

Just as an aside, as the wheel is rotating mass the 24lb of weight saved (6lb per wheel) will have more effect than simply reducing the weight of the chassis.

There are various postulations as to the benefits of reduction in unsprung rotating mass (wheels, tyres, wheel hubs, brake disks etc.) vs sprung non rotating mass, a lot of people say that the benefit to acceleration, braking and handling is in the order of 10:1. IF that's true, then the difference between style 343M and 433M is like having to lug about 240lb of extra weight or a larger than average male passenger (US average male weight is about 195lb).

Besides to the amazing facts posted above that I didn't know about, I think 343 look much better. IMO the 433 are a bit overworked. I'd love to swap my 373M to 343 after I receive my 640 GC in a couple months. So if anyone is interested, please let me know

It's closer to 7:1, but your points are valid.

I've seen anything from 15:1 to 1.5:1, the most common being 10:1. Even at 2:1 it's still a 48lb reduction which is not insignificant.
