Charging for smart phone integration on a top-level BMW is kinda ridiculous in this day and age, when such expensive features such as NAV, Merino Leather and ARS are already standard. Reminds me of the $80 option charge you see on most american cars for floor mats. Seems like for a while it was included in the standard comfort packages on all of my 7 series until my 2013, when all of the sudden they started listing it separately. I guess some attempt at taking a tiny slice off of the MSRP...

Hahaha but no seriously, good luck with it! The subtle upgrades sure make an awesome difference! Plus my guy told me the payments may be CHEAPER due to it being worth more at the end of the model life, so we're all in for a treat!

Our M6GC is basically "mine" because she won't touch a manual transmission. We discussed the possibility of a 650i xdrive w/Dinan in the past, but she just doesn't like the idea of doing anything to change the stock status of "her" car. I agree that there are some styling cues that I could do without, such as the "Alpina" name on the front bumper, but she gets to choose this one, since it will be primarily her car. I reserve the right to do Dinan on "mine," though... Last edited by JimM6GC; 02-05-2015 at 11:52 PM.. |

Update on the 2016 LCI M6...
I had previously mentioned that the Comp Package (ZCP) wasn't on the ordering guide. I found out today from my CA that it's not available until July of this year, with a delivery approx Sept/Oct. Since that's the most important package of the three, I'm not about to wait another 9 months for what is essentially minor changes to the LCI. The benefit of the 2015 should be more attractive leasing options.... |

There's no reason to exclude the Comp Pkg, unless they're making some LCI changes. I'm curious to see what those look like, but not 9-months-waiting curious.

Or maybe they want to make CP more aggresive! The new S63 engine on X5M and X6M has 567 HP and 553 lb-ft of torque... maybe it's the change

To be honest I did not see the significant difference. For months I was thinking about changing my car to get CP, but after test driving the CP last week, I ended up to save that money. I mean there is difference but not that much. It had a little better handling and stability on corners, but with 305 tire on rear (that I have right now) my car is pretty stable. The steering wheel was better in sport+ (was not as heavy as mine is). I had no chance to push the CP since it had only 2 digit number on the clock, but it was the same as mine and even I feel mine is faster(well it's supposed to be since it's broken in). Overall I don't want to get CP anymore, but your point about CP MT vs non CP MT could be valid. Just keep in mind that I'm the guy who love driving in stiffest, hardest, fastest configuration (sport+); so don't get my comment very serious... people have different taste You should test drive it personally; however you have almost no chance to find an M6 MT CP

We're very different drivers lol. Maybe cause my m6 is my first luxury vehicle im still super cautious. I admit I do hit the ramps pretty hard up the high way- but anytime someone tries to race me (not much competition out here in Mx city) I tell them it would be a waste of gas for me

Update
As feared...the 2016s coupes have been pushed back to MAY.
Carbon fiber roof shortage to blame. Currently exploring different options...
