Side Fender
Guys, I've tried searching the forums, but the search feature is nowhere near helpful. I've been looking for a solid 40 minutes now for glossy black side fender pieces (where the side blinkers are) for my F13. Could someone send a link my way? Thanks, y'all.

Found some, but they're pretty darn pricey. Anyone know where to get em a bit cheaper? |

I saw in a thread somewhere that they clip in, but I could be wrong. If it's that easy, then you're dang right I'm doing that.

I had them wrapped, they are on spring clips. You push one side towards fender or the door and then pop them out, use a plastic card to help get underneath and they will come out and then the chrome separates from the blinker assembly and I just took that to my tint shop and had them wrap it, they didn't even charge me but I have done a lot of work with them. It's been on there for a few months and looks great! I also did the chrome on the door handle at the same time.

I just wrapped my lights. As previously stated, to remove start with lifting the chrome end closest to the doors and continue lifting on the bottom. Once lifted move to the top (black trim) end of the trim closest to the door and put pressure until the spring clip releases. After that the middle clip comes out easily and slightly pull the trim piece back towards the door to unhook the far end from the fender, unclip the light and you are ready to go. You will then need to remove the chrome trim from the plastic light housing, using a small flat head screw driver press down all the clips to remove. Then you can wrap the chrome piece, here are a few pics.

Just did this last night. Looks so much better black than chrome!
If you're running to HD to buy some paint, go further down the aisle and pick up a bondo knife/spreader. Made the job so much easier and I put painters tape underneath just to be sure I didn't scratch the paint.

Do you still want me to put up pics on how to do this, man? It's really as easy as vaio said. I finally had the time to do it just now, and it took about 20 minutes to get the trim pieces out and a bit longer to separate the chrome from the black. Gonna take em to get wrapped tomorrow

All depends on body color IMO. I'm not a fan of chrome myself. I blacked out my Space Gray 5 but left some chrome on my Moonstone 6. Definitely an easy and nice looking mod. Good job on the DYI.

How do you remove the chrome piece? I got the part off the car, but I can't separate the chrome. I pushed down on the tabs, but I am not sure why they don't come off.

So I didn't want to break the piece off, so I wrapped over. It looks really good. Up close you can still see some chrome on the very edge, but overall looks much better.
