Buying advise 2013 vs 2014 M6

Need some education best to ask the owners.

Looking on going from an X5M to an M6. Saw two with low mileage but one is a 2013 and a 2014. They are about 9k apart in price 2014 has the bang and olufsen option.

Wanted to inquire is there a major difference between the two? Tech? Feature etc?

Rather save the 9k and add an extended warranty to the 2013 which is another question is there a preferred one you all use? Dealer vs Third party.

Any info would great. Thanks

M6 = good choice!

It might be different in the US (I'm in UK), but as far as extended warranty is concerned, I chose a BMW warranty, and not regretted it. Too many horror stories of claims not being honoured/wriggled-out-of by independents. Yes, BMW warranty will probably be more expensive, but in my view, likely to be less hassle overall.

If you want a factory extended warranty, the cart has to be still under the existing warranty to qualify. Most likely the 2013 is out of factory warranty so would not qualify.

B&O was a 3k+ option. It sounds good, but not worth 3K. Also, it adds chrome speakers versus stock black which may contrast with interior color.

2014 has comp pack option

2014 (depend on build date) can add special steering wheels without expensive options

That 9k extra now may be worth something when you trade in later.
