Coupe or 'vert

I'm pretty set on my next car being an M6, after driving some of the competition and discovering that they don't come close in terms of what I am looking for in a daily drive.

One thing that I can't make up my mind over is F12 vs F13. I know all the "paper" stuff, i.e. weight, performance penalty etc, but I've driven the F12, I couldn't discern any scuttle shake or body flex, just lol at the "performance penalty" on a completely overpowered 400kW+ car...

At the end of the day it comes to aesthetics, and while the F13 does look better when compared to the F12 top up (that CF roof is just droolworthy), there is just something about being able to go for a blast top down, and looks wise F12 top down is no slouch either.

As I said, I just can't make my mind up. Anyone here that is/was in the same predicament - what did/would you do?

Vert is definitely something cool, the top down experience is so nice be it night or day ... especially if you are in a sunny hot climate or have a bad/rain weather ride.

General speaking Convertible is nicer than Coupe when top is down and in case of M6 it's much easier to get on back seat with top down compare to coupe but for several reasons I picked Coupe:
1. Soft top on this gorgeous car looks not beautiful enough maybe because of size of car.
2. +300 lb heavier than coupe causes many degradation in performance in straight line as well as cornering and braking.
3. You are limited to the days are not rainy so basically you need another car for those days
4. CF roof looks amazing on F13 (as you mentioned)
5. Sakhir Orange on convertible doesn't look as cool as Coupe

An interesting point is that the M4 vert is only 60kg lighter than the M6 Coupe and comes with a hard top roof. If I had to choose a vert, I'd probably have the M4 (with a custom exhaust)

I drove a loaner 335i today. It felt like I was in a VW Golf. I don't think I'll ever be able to go to that segment again, even in an M4.

That is my struggle too. I like the idea of the M2 or M4 being quite a bit lighter than the M6, but I've already got an average interior in my C63, so I think I want the really nice interior (still the best out there imho) in the M6. I also think that BMW will be able to make a 1925kg car handle about as well as AMG did with the 1780kg C63 Estate!

So M4 vert with me (as driver) is 30kg heavier than M6 Coupe? LOL

I feel for you bro... I was at the other end of spectrum and didn't even make the BMI (body mass index) minimum when I joined the military back then ... Took Many years in the gym and eating everything in sight to get to 140 lbs from 98 lbs dripping when I left high school ...

But we do what we must to stay healthy and live long and fit!!

With rising risk for strokes and cholesterol linked heart disease I have upped the salad And decreased the carbs as well ... Leaner cuts of meat and less beer too

Good Tequila and wine are on the menu now as well

To good health and many more amazing rides bro

Oops ... We did t again

I came from an e93 M3 convertible and I find the whole experience more satisfying by having a vert. I live in South Florida and top down a lot. I tried an M235i coupe and after 4 months I went back to a convertible. The F12 is a dream.
