Tint white spots on Paint

I was washing the beast on sunday, when drying, I noticed these really tiny white spots that I couldn't scratch off with my fingernail. I then broke out the clay bar. The clay bar removed 80% but can still see it!!!!! Arghhhh. It's almost like it etched itself in the clear. Has anyone ever come across this? I'm sure having sapphire black makes them stick out like a sore thumb. Thanks guys!

^this isn't my car, it's just the closest thing on the internet I could find. And I didn't see any solutions only recommendations.

Not unusual at all. You can do the correction work at home or pay a good detailed to do the PC and then coat it with some Gtechnique or another tier1 crystal paint protection.

Sadly even good filtered water at home has a lot of deposits in it. So far dark colors a good correction and protection every 5 years is just good form. Something we budget for with no regerts!

I had to have the 2026 m6 I just picked up done hy a body shop. Had those white flakes bumper to bumper. I also had them repaint the hood, front fenders and replace the nose, soo many stone chips. Looks sick now.

Appears to be some form of industrial fallout that simply misted onto the surface. Exacerbated by a hot day or hot paint surface caused it to really embed into the paint.

Assuming you’re not ceramic coated, as suggested, it’s time to get out the polisher and do some paint correction.

I performed a 3 stage paint correction on mine and applied 3 coats of Armor Shield Ceramic coating 4 years ago and it’s still holding strong. Highly recommend.

I 100% agree. My car was ceramic coated years ago so not sure if it's lifetime or not. I will have an expert take a crack at it.
