Ivory Leather?
For those of you who have ivory leather, how has it held up? I'm often driving in my car alone, but even still I'm concerned about how this would hold up. I've seen new jeans bleed into light fabrics before - not to mention dirt and grime. I'm having a hard time imagining how this holds up over several years without looking worn or dirty, but before I discounted it altogether I wanted to get some insight! Thanks!

I have the Individual Platinum Merino leather. I'm pleasantly surprised how well it is holding up. Have had the car about 18 months. You have to keep up cleaning it but mine still looks very nice. Speaking of which, I should go clean it right now.

I also have Platinum Merino leather and so far so good. Interiors on all five of my previous BMWs has been light and only seldomly have I had to clean them, after a couple years the denim transfer can occur, but the leather cleaners recommended on here have worked well.
It's just the nature of having a nice light interior color. If you're not wearing black or dark denim every time you get in the car it shouldnt be a problem. |

Good to know it's not terrible to maintain. In my years of owning black leather BMWs, I literally did NOTHING to the seats and they were great from start to finish (~5 - 6 years of ownership per vehicle)... but I thought the ivory/platinum colors would show dirt/wear easily. Also the doors or other areas that may get scuffed - any issues there?
I've seen the two-tone leather where the upper leather is brown with seats/lower ivory - is that an Individual thing? No way to configure it that way in the car configuration tool, it seems.

I went with the Platinum Black combination - so the lower portions and door panels are black and the headliner is black, but the seats are Platinum

I have ivory nappa leather in my z4 which is over 5 years old just. I'm just clean it with BMW cleaner and softener every few months, just a wipe over. They're nearly as good as new.

I had ivory in my 550i. I too spent a lot on my owe in the car and I clean and detail my cars regularly and thoroughly. The driver seat started to discolor and the rest of the seats lost that fresh look after about 2 years. Several issues with jeans had to be dealt with using diluted goo remover. Unless you absolutely love it, choose a different color
I have vermilion red on my alpine 650 and love it. |

I seriously shouldn't have gone for the Ivory Leather because it isn't useful when ya got kids and i often realize I'm too tall for the car and get a bad back cleaning it but i am happy with my car but i still want BMW to revive the Everest Grey Leather Seats :/

I drove E71 X6 xdrive 50i with Oyster interior which is similar to Ivory for about 30,000 miles. The color does look gorgeous and I got lots of compliments. However, if you often have children or passengers in the back seats, I wouldn't recommend oyster. In my case, as someone mentioned above, blue jeans tend to dye leather. It does not happen to all over the leather, but jeans tend to sweep the edge of the seat when you get in/get off the vehicle. Also, the edge of the seat started to wear out when my car had 20,000 miles but I think that is an issue with the height of X6. Other than that, my passenger and rear seats still look like brand new and I love it!

I'm not happy on having to clean my interior all the time. That's my opinion.I do love the Silverstone but I would rather in my not clean it. Is there anyone who knows someone who dye's leather professionally bc Im tired of cleaning it. Im also thinking of ordering the whole interior in another color and have them BMW install it.if I can't dye the interior professionally....

Well, i will surely not get ivory again...
- I am too tall to bend down and clean the seats - Even after polishing and all that fun stuff they still have stains of jeans and dirt on them - otherwise when looking at it from the inside, it gives the car a nice 2 tone feel... The black dash and white seats kinda thing
