Spotted

I'm wondering how many M6s you see on the roads? I spotted my first one today... apart from my own. It was a blue convertible just coming out of Harrogate with an M6 xxx number plate. I do see more 640ds but I think the M6 is still a rare beast compared to a 911 or C63 etc. How many have you seen out there?

I see more Lambos/Porsches and Ferraris (even more Ford GTs) than I see M6s. I dont think Ive seen one in the Houston Metro area this year.

So far (in about 2 years) I have spotted no more than 10 in OC and this is the area you can see Ferrari, Lamborghini, 911, Maserati,... all the time

I knew of more E63 M6's locally when I was into mine.. but as far as new F12/F13 m6's... I have one buddy that has one locally. Ferrari/Lambo and especially Porsche are far more popular.

In the wild- only 1 that an acquaintance who works at a dealer took out so I could test out a dct.

The m6 is definitely a niche market/exclusive club. I feel like if I ever do- I'd be inclined to catch up and give him/her a

definitely more M6 coupes than GCs, but i must've seen about 5 here and there in my non-glamorous sections of orange and LA counties

According to a previous thread, there were approximately 234 MY2015 M6 Coupes sold in the US and Canada.

It's a rare car indeed.

I've seen like 30 here.. in LA everyone and their mothers have the M6. I'm being literal, I see women in their 40-50s in it sometimes.

In the wild for me too, then again I wasn't really looking until about three weeks ago when I started driving mine. That certainly is going to change.

When I first started driving Bimmers the BMWCCA people would multi-flash their brights at other oncoming Bimmers as a way to say hello. That pretty much stopped about a couple of decades ago - think the confusion over warning drivers about radar traps ahead might have been part of it. I hadn't thought about it much until just recently, but I feel the same way now.

That is really rare - only one made each work day if you include vacation time. That's a lot more rare than I had thought. I have seen several at the dealership - mine must be getting more than his share. I had not thought about it before but maybe they all got traded somewhere else. I just don't see them around here. But I intend to start looking a lot harder now.
