Still laughing about the carbon fiber roof comment....so true.

And let's be real here, neither of these are the Ultimate Driving Machine - but man, that M6 looks delicious (provided someone removes that gawd awful spoiler).

M6 all day long. I just traded my 2016 Alpina B6. Transmission is just not there - too clunky and too much lag. The M6 is great. Power ready all the time. I don't think I'll jump into an Alpina any time soon. I thought it would be like jumping into an AMG from a regular MB but not close at all. I love my M6 but I also LOVE my C63s.

Yup B6 GC all the way
It's just more special, rare and sporty at the same time.
Who tracks M6 anyways?

I'm going to have to opt for the B6 Grand Coupe. Beautiful, luxury, and sporty all in one limited package. The wheels, steering wheel, green/blue stitching, and Alpina brand in general is tits.

Lots of anti Alpina hate here. I'd take the Alpina in either blue or green. And I would swap the steering wheel out for one with proper paddle shifters. I also love the Alpina wheels.

Only car? M6 CP Coupe.

Second car to a 2 seater (AMG GT, 570S, GT3 etc) then B6 GC.

Yet, I would certainly not consider a large barge such the M6 GC as a "track weapon", hence the dichotomy...

M6 GC for me, every time.

RWD and a special edge without which I couldn't justify spending so much money on a car.

Awd doesn't belong in an M car. The damn thing already weighs 4200+ lbs. no need to add more weight. Plus alpina has this crazy idea of keeping the standard, god awful bumpers on their cars and for that alone id take the m6

I'll take the M6 10x out of 10.. But I will say.. Coming from a Panamera.. The M6 would benefit from all wheel drive. What sense is having all of that power and torque if you can't put it down to the pavement from a stop?..

B6 will be my next bimmer. It's the best combination of power, luxury and exclusivity. Unfortunately I hate GCs. Some things just shouldn't come in a family car size. Buy the 5 or the 7 if you want 4 doors.

I watched the video yesterday and thought to myself - the test drivers are getting older and more luxury oriented, which is fine, but I think the M6 and B6 don't really mean to compete with each other.

If you want luxury car just buy a 7 series car or S class.

As an M6 GC owner the video reinforces my correct choice.

B6 all day everyday. Its a 6 series acting like a 6 series. The M6 as it stands is why people think BMW lost its edge. Alpina is truer to itself than the guys of at ///M are anyday.

I were up Alpinas on the reg.... Doesn't matter, at the light or or on the roll.

You don't come out of the pocket with traction control off and foot to the ground..... Come on.... It is not the car it's the driver. Clearly he has no idea how to laugh a RRD vehicle. In the train Aplina all day long but on dry new assault there is not excuse to let that grocery getter even get half a car length ahead.... And the wheels look soooooo dated...... bleh.

B6 must have sold in single figures in the UK, problem is that there no finance incentives on the b6 as there is on the m6 gc, making a niche product even more niche i guess, the residuals on alpninas here are also not good again making then expensive when compared to the rival M model

Id lean towards the B6 is it could get same deal as on the m6 i.e. 30% reduction / 0% finance, oh and 2 yrs warranty compared to the m6s may be an issue.

Then again an m6 with AWD may swing me back i reported time of c6 secs 0-62 allowing for wheel spins not good.

do search on the m6 v RS7, the BMw gets minced sadly

I second the fact that those 2 are the most annoying reviewers ever. I did watch it tho. I would take my M6GC any day of the week.
