Fantastic deals on entire 6er range in UK

Looks like there is a huge sales promotion quarter on the entire model range at BMWUK but the one that really stood out for me was on the 640d M Sport coupe, convertible, gran coupe when ordered before Sept 2013

Approx £15,000 dealer contribution to deposit
0% APR
£699 PCM with a £699 customer deposit only
BMW Select PCP

Was told delivery was in late October but they have small quotas for this deal. My local dealer had already sold 4 of 8 cars assigned, 3 of 4 sold had come in looking for 4 Series M Sport but upgraded.

Where did you see this? I have looked on BMW website and cannot see that offer.

http://www.bmw.co.uk/en/topics/owner...nt-offers.html

The 0% offer is under retail finance. My uncle just bought a 7 using the same offer, £15k contribution, 0% finance. I believe this is not dealer/chain specific, so most dealers should have this. He got a little more on top apparently, although he did tick a few options boxes.

Thanks for the details. The deal is for a 48 month pcp with like you said £699 deposit and £699 a month. Having looked around I believe better deals are to be had. Couple of people on bmwland managed to get 19k+ off the 6 series

Thanks for the info, im waiting on Shindi to get back to me

Currently 15 months into a 24 business lease - love this car so much. So I'm looking to replace like for like as nothing else lights my fire with the exception of F type or new RR Sport. Need to do a few option tweaks and colour change maybe? I only hope these deals are available or similar when I come to change my car!

Hi, do you know the service intervals on the 6 series? Is it yearly or on mileage?

Thanks

Actually cancelled my a7 and ordered this yesterday. Though A7 is lot cheaper would have paid 10k on intrest alone. Rather it go to a better car Amended a build so will get it next month -

640d M sport - LED adaptive lights +surround view+20" Black with white interior = £57,250

Thanks for the reply. Do you know roughly how much the first service is? Basically is it worth getting the service pack if its a 2 year deal and you are going to hand the car back

Dealer said to me they had an allocation (what does that mean!?!) and car will be built from August 26th for a week 39 delivery (late September). This sounds too good to be true! Is he just chatting nonsense?

Also will that make the car I get a MY 2014, even though it will be a '63 plate. Slightly confused about that as well.

This is all in the UK btw.

Based on sales history, BMW has some expectation on how many cars each dealer will sell. So for every production run of X cars, they will 'allocate' for instance 3 to dealer A and 7 to dealer B (larger dealer) and 1 to dealer C.

These allocations go into their computer system and the dealers can place whatever options/colors/etc. they want (or think they can sell in their market). Up until the time that the allocated car actually starts being built, the dealer can go in and change all of the options/colors/etc., so if you happen to walk in the dealership when they have an allocated car nearing production, you can actually get exactly what you want in a much shorter time, or at a minimum a much more clearly defined time frame.

If you go Individual (custom or non-standard paints, leathers, etc.) that can extend the timing, but other than that it's just an inventory management game.

Out of interest, any takers here?

Rybrook has been closing 3 6-series deals a week this month. Looks like there are going to be more GCs and Convertibles out here in October.

I'm looking at this now. An acquaintance has just taken one, admittedly the payments are still high, but he's made a good saving on the car which should help with depreciation at time of trade.

Alternatively you could opt for an AUC; the first year depreciation on the 6 series is staggering.
I paid £45k for my one year old, 1,200 mile 640i convertible - not bad considering that, with all its options, the list price would have been £79k.

True, but if a decent discount is available to get 'new', then why not...

Really?
I'd be interested to know how you arrived at your conclusion; as it happens, the previous owner, who did pay pretty much list, had the misfortune to die nine months after buying the car.
Having said that, you wouldn't want to let facts get in the way of any presumption.

I think one has to be realistic about how much of the discount simply represents a market adjustment of the RRP. Sure if the economic climate improves come resale time, that will firm new prices up, which will in turn firm second hand prices. But if things remain the same I'm expecting back the rule of thumb 40-50% of what I paid, not BMW's RRP.
