How many miles/year and terms of your lease? The X drive has high residuals as I expect the 2015 will be higher when released then the 2014's...by 5 points I bet

Does anybody know for certain when submitting an order will yield a 2015 6 car? My dealer told me yesterday [22 Feb] that they are still ordering new 14s...

When ordering, please ensure that you select a Config / Build date of 01/03/2014 or later in SA3, and target March 2014 production onwards using a suitable delivery date.

There is no way to order a 2014 at this time. The production switches over week 10 and everything has been locked down now.

edit: Your dealer is lying to you At least as far as a 6-series is concerned.

I listed my 335 a week ago to check the market and not lose as much as a trade in. Sold it yesterday, LOL
So I am driving my business errand car Scion XB. Only a week away to see what happens in April, but if its not a great deal then I need to figure out the next month or maybe even 2 depending on availability of incoming '15....

I should think the only way to guarantee a 2015 spec car would be to order after they have switched over production.

If there is a car with the options you want in someones inventory then you will get a better deal on a 2014. FWIW I know the 20 inchers look better on the car but they DO compromise the ride quality when coupled with low profile performance tires.....

I'm really curious how much they compromise the quality. I just drove a 2013 with 19s and Adaptive Drive and wow, the ride was perfect. I'm going to drive a 2014 with 20s and no-adaptive drive tomorrow. I personally like the look of the 19s a lot...but the 2014 I'm looking at has 20s.... Also curious how much of a difference Adaptive Drive makes.

If the roads in Illinois are as horrible as the roads in NY then I would certainly get the wheel/tire insurance package if you opt for the 20" Wheels

They are as bad if not worse. And wow, the 20s rode a lot different than the 19s.... yuck.

Hey guys... I'm actually interested in leasing for the first time (650i GC.) I don't understand what most of these mean.

36mon/14K
8/13 650i 55%
1/14 650i 55%

Does that mean at the end of 36 mom term you will be paying 55% of the total price?

I think the rate came out to 1400-1500/per month. 1700-1800 for the M6 / per month.

I got a quote back in September.... Almost fully loaded came about to 115-120K.

Anyway, I wasn't sure if there was a way to get better rates than what the dealer told me. Can someone point me in the right direction? This maybe the wrong thread, sorry for that.

There are two important things you need to know with leasing (ok, there are like 14, but here are the basics)

1. The car will have a residual (that's the percentage of the MSRP that the car will be worth at the end of the lease). So in the comment above, the car will be worth 55% of the MSRP at the end of the lease.
2. There will be a Money Factor (MF). This is the interest rate the dealer is charging you. It is a weird number (like .00130) and the key is to multiply it by 2400 to get your actual interest rate.

Now random crap...
Many options are worthless at trade if you buy a car. That B&O stereo you just dropped $3,700 on? Basically goes to $0 at trade in-time. That cool Tanzanite Blue color you paid $1,950 for? Yours - all yours, cause it does not add to the value.
Except when you lease. In these cases you will get at least x% back on your purchase (you still have to pay finance charges - but that is still better). So if you like to load up your cars, always consider leasing - unless you keep them forever.

For the most part leasing works like this
1. PurchasePrice-Residual. This is the amount you are financing and paying off over X number of years. Sales taxes can play a big part here depending on where you live.
2. Residual - This is the amount you are borrowing with no intention of paying back. So you pay interest on this amount over the period of the lease.

Add #1 and #2 and you have your lease payment. Or just search for a lease calculator.

There are other fees you will be hit with - like a lease acquisition fee (the fee the leasing company charges to initiate the lease (about $925 for a BMW), a lease disposition fee ($350 I think is the going rate) - which is the fee to get rid of your car at the end of the lease.

PS - you got a Gran Coupe to $120K? That's impressive

Edit - the dealer can't play with the residual but they can increase the money factor. That's how they get ya

Hi-New to BMW, new to this forum-all around new. Decided I want a 605i convertible. Ordering 2015 for ED. Have pricing from local dealer (happy to share). Does anyone know if ED invoice is available for 2015 650i convertible? I want to cross-check the numbers I'm being quoted.

Also-as I said, complete newbie. So WELCOME and and all info, suggestions, etc.

Thanks much.

ED is supposed to be about 5% cheaper. So you can figure you have your cars invoice, about 3%ish of holdback, rebates and the 5%. You wont know anything about rebate I assume until the build is done?
I don't see why you can't share numbers, it may be helpful to post them and have some people look at the deal and chime in.

You SURE you don't want a 14? BMW just announced $7,500 off on remaining 2014 650 coupe and verts....

edit - and that includes M
− $7,500 on 6 Series Coupes and Convertibles, including M (excluding Gran Coupe)

That might make me change my mind... Got the 2015 650 convertible numbers today:

ED MSRP $87,935
ED with M package and Exec. Package $96,260.00 (dealer said contents of each package remain the same and so do cost. But I've seen on other forums that 2015 650 now has idrive touch, change to Harmon Kardon sound, and exhaust change).
