Finally, it all works in my car!! Sorry, just had to share the news and I'm sure you guys already know this

Latest BMW Connected app work flawlessly in my 2016 6 Series GC.

spotify always worked via bluetooth, but maybe you're talking about something a bit more special?

gotta check out connected again as well, since it was always useless previously. your excitement has me excited!

i got smartthings and i can't get that to do a thing

Hi, yes the updates Connected Drive works well. Now you can control Spotify through the main info screen under media. Working very well.

To the OP: what was your issue? I have always been able to connect and control Spotify through USB and to a lesser extent via BT on my 2014 GC. Sucks that the app must be open and running on the phone, but other than that no issues. What is new?

you couldn't do this from a wireless point of view, and there was no proper integration with BMW connected drive and the Android device. You can now. It was a major problem for all Android users but guess BMW finally decided to focus on Android users a little.

Spotify Android USB is a no go on NBT. May work on EVO.
