650 Xi Msport GC lowered with wheels

Hello.
Been meaning to post pics of the drop and wheels as I know they'd be helpful to anyone considering modding.
Its still somewhat limited resources on Gran Coupes.
So hope this helps.

I had intended to post up some propoer photos, but it doesn't seem like it would happen anytime soon.

Thank you **********s for help with wheels.

255/285 INVOs
M510 wheels in 20" diameter

had ordered spacers but oddly, the bolts i received with them were too thin.
I've yet to call **********s about them.

These are iphone photos but give a very good idea on how the car sits.

Spacers were going on the fronts but car has no spacers on it now.

Springs: ended up going with H&R.

Thanks for looking.

talking about bad roads, I moved from south florida to Michigan. My heart has never dropped this many times as I approach an inevitable crater on the road, that I swear shows up overnight, as I drive the same roads almost daily.

But it looks so much wider and the lower ride and wheels really draw the eye to the slope of the roofline moreso.

looks pretty good. I'd ditch the chrome trim, though.

Are you using the f12 springs or are there springs for the f06? I am trying to purchase a set but most people are saying they don't make them for the f06 yet.

funny thing is, shadowline has always been my friend on every BMW i've owned and guess whats sitting in the garage, the shadowline kit.

weird that even with M sport, shadowline isn't included for the GC. Its part of the individual package.

Following the drop and wheels, the chrome seems to accentuate the squatty nature of the car in profile and i like how squatty it is.

I might do one side and see how it changes the look.

i was a bit unsure about the ride at first. I didn't know what to expect. I drive in sport 99% of the time and its no where are stiff as my previous e92 M3 competition. On smooth roads is very smooth. It takes the bumps very well too.

Writing about how suspension feels is almost as impossible as writing about how exhaust sounds.
Very subjective.

I'd love for it to ride like the competition M3, its much more friendly. Its my daily driver with my three kids. No complaints about ride.

H&R website seem to specify GC if i'm not mistaken.

I know the AC Schnitzer does specify GC also 640vs 650.

Went for the AC, wasn't sure it'll ride low enough to look proper for the wheels i chose. If it rode too tall, my wheels aren't aggressive enough, it wouldn't have looked the part. I saw how it sat on pics of Velos Designwerks' car. I went by that.

DMD, do you have adaptive drive or IAS on your car?

We ordered the H&R springs but the installer says the rears won't fit, H&R is also saying they don't make springs for the GC yet. I am trying to figure out what the difference would be between my car and yours.

my car only has DDC I believe its missing anti sway portion of the adaptive drive package.

i got them through Velos Designwerks. Might want to call them as they have experience on the gran coupe and such few shops have.

sorry to hear you are running into a situation.
