Wheelspin driving me nuts

Does it bother anyone else or is it just me?

The roads where I live are dry and warm today yet 1st and 2nd gear are pretty much guaranteed to make you go sideways. My tires were quite warm too.

It's so frustrating having crappy cars beat you off the line. Although its hilarious when you hit 3rd gear and surge past them like a bat out of hell.

My Michelin PSS are pretty grippy, actually. You can forget the first gear, but the second one shouldn't allow for too much spin.

Not sure about crappy cars beating me off the line, yes wheelspin, but not that much that it allows other cars to pull away.

Most cars don't get that far in front but enough to let them think they're winning. The PSS do a fantastic job at gripping considering it's RWD with a ridiculous amount of torque.

I am by no means complaining! Just think AWD on some level might have helped maybe even a 80/20 split.

I have also noticed excessive wheelspin in 1st and 2nd. I wonder how M6 would do with a four wheel drive system, similar to the new AMGs.

Anytime we incorporate the mash and go AMG principals of driving from a dig expect spin... the active diff is a marvel with its electronics but even it cant offset a heavy foot.

I feather out of the box and then it works much better.

Exactly. Once u master feathering the throttle off the line it will actually take off pretty good.

I do think an AWD system would be a nice option too for sick launches.

The AWD on my Porsche and on my GTR are stupid incredible. The dig rush of getting to 60 under 3 seconds is incredible. They did show their weakenesses (in stock form) up top where the AWD system robs power though.

Agreed. Did you remove the charcoal filter on your M6?

Yes- and on my M5 too---- not sure if I have any gains but it feels better.
