Gents. I am still deciding what to do, whether to modify my 2012 M6 or move to comp pack. I think I will modify my current car as I love it so much. So, .. I intend to put on the kw lowering blocks and springs and add carbon ceramic brakes as I feel this will improve the steering. I have to say I find it fine as is but when I put no ceramic brembos on my e63 the difference was massive. 10 kgs of unsprung weight less must help. I also fancy some spacers to compliment kw s anyone any advice as to how wide to go? How are people getting on with kw? Cheers Brian (another Brian)

I run 10mm spacers on all four, and I'm lowered on H&R springs. Wouldn't mind going a little wider on the rears though.

With the collar all the way down on all 4 corners fender-to-ground measures 27 1/4" (front) and 27 1/2" (rear). The original measurements were 28 3/4" (front) and 27 3/4" (rear).

That equates to a maximum drop of 1 1/2" (front) and 1/4" (rear).

KW advertises a 1.2" drop all around. I am not sure why I am so short changed on the rear. I had my BMW dealership install the sleeve over kit and I even pulled off my rear tires today to check it out -- everything looks to be installed correctly.

I am going to send KW an email but I was wondering if anyone else has this kit installed and what measurements they achieved with the kit.

Hey Brian, do you have any pics of your JL subs setup?

They are not the best pictures but listed below are a couple shots. The subs sit in a pre-fab box (a very nice one) and in front of the pre-fab box (as you see in the pics) is a false wall. There are no fasteners on the false wall -- it slides in place.

I asked the shop to make the false wall match the look and feel of the trunk with a subtle custom touch. This past weekend at a local car show someone actually asked (he was a car guy) "did that come like that" which is the effect I was aiming for so it came out how I wanted it to look.

btw... The reason I went with the pre-fab box is so you can easily remove the subs if you need access to the rear shock mounts.

@Hunter5179 - Do you have some pics of yours? I see you have the same subs.

Nice. I have a 1 inch plexiglass keeping all the vibrations out of the trunk and blowing it straight into the cabin ported through the center of the back seat. It's awesome. Like IMAX lol

I went with a 1inch piece of plexiglass and used real aluminum with a heavy wood for the box so my box with the two twelve inch subs is roughly 90 lbs. Helps keep my tires planted lol. If you don't use plexiglass or a thick heavy wood you can probably be in the 65-75lb range.

If you had to do anything with this box again what would you do Hunter? Who made it for you. Was it just an add on to the B&O or??? I have B&O and want more bottom end and was considering a box. Thanks

Yeah it was just an add on. I felt the car needed more low end as well. Adding the subs really adds a lot to the cars audio. It is world's better now. I wouldn't change anything. It's solid, bass is tight with a wide range for different sounds. I have a separate knob for the subs so I can adjust how much bass depending on the type of music. I had this place called ABT electronics do it. They have won many awards. I have no rattles or trunk noises from vibrations. If i can try something different I would try and port a 10 or 12 through the center of the back seat and see how that sounds. No regrets with mine. It's fantastic
