Full LED Lights in Executive Pkg

The Executive Package ($4,900.) includes a full LED option. My thought was that everything was LED lighting not just the headlights and tail lights and would include the courtesy lights in the interior. My 2012 F30 3 Series have all LED lights throughout the car and I was expecting this in our new 2013 M6 Convertible. To my disappointment all the interior courtesy light are the yellow 194 bulbs. Really, really disappointed.
So I purchased some LED replacement courtesy lights for $28 / pair and replaced the door and foot well lights. You can see the difference in the picture. Driver's side has the 12 white LED and passenger side has the factory 194 yellow bulb. The new LED really gives the interior of the car a real luxury and modern look and feel as opposed to the original yellow bulb.
Why BMW didn't use "Full LED" as the option suggest is beyond me. Perhaps saving a few pennies on a $120,000. car!!!! Who knows. I will replace all the yellow bulbs with the white LED's. What do you guys think?

I like the led's. My previous Audi had interior led's which look better in my opinion. Did you purchase them from the dealer?

Actually got it on eBay item number 130813698524. They are 18 led's in each lens, so they are very bright and will not get error message. Its a simple swap out. The led's are in a clear module to fit most BMW's. Been using them for years in my other Bimmers with no issues.

I wonder if the bulbs from the F30 would fit?

Matter of taste. I much prefer the passenger side lighting- warm and cozy looking to me vs garish and harsh.

I really like the white LED's because it matches the M6 door sill white lights also the front LED headlights of course. They are very bright (18 LED's per assembly) and courtesy lights under door brighten up pathway at night. Just my taste.

My LED headlights do not seem to light the road as well as my previous xenons on my 550i M sport pack. They seem to point down and only illuminted about 50-75 feet ahead of the car. Have to use high beams at night to get adequate illumination. It is going in for service to address this. Anyone else notice this?

I haven't noticed it on mine. The full LED's have a turning light to illuminate the corners which I really like. I will check mine and post back.
Interesting that the new full LED are supposed to be the best out there.
Do you have the "Full LED from the Executive Pkg" or the standard LED?

Full LED from the Executive Pkg. Someone else mentioned it to me during a CCA event and I did not notice it because I did not have much cause to drive at night in the early fall. However, now that I drive home from work at every night I noticed it much more. I'll see what the dealer finds. I also like the side illumination around corners. Nice feature.
